HOMELESS CHILDREN

 Homeless children.

A lot of children are suffering out there, and dying as well, due to lack of parental care and a place to live in. You might think that the homeless children are the orphans but that's not the only reason to homeless children. In fact, there are a lot of reasons behind that but which we can fight as the today's youth if we try.

Well, we all know and have met a street kid once or street kids and, I also believe you got to wonder why they are there. Some are orphans and others have run away from their parents due to the fact that they are poor and found out that they can't be supported and, that their lives are getting harder and harder each day. Sometimes a child is chased away by his parents out of frustration though it's not and will never be a good decision to take as a parent. Some people don't seem to understand when they advice them to have children they are and will be able to raise and educate and all that. But all they want to do, mostly the African society is to bear more children even when they don't know how they will bring them up. 

This is one of the most serious cause of homeless children. Once parents have no money to cater for their children they rather force them to go find jobs at a young age or children themselves try to go find a better life out of their homes and end up on the streets. This is how it all starts. It's either children run away by themselves or parents forced them to. Trust me it has never been easy nor will it be for street kids. Well, am not speaking from experience but am talking as a concerned citizen or rather, you can also judge by yourself. Suppose it's raining and the roof under your bed is leaking, how do you react or how do you manage throughout the whole night. With this example one can imagine how those children sleeping outside on cold ground are feeling right now. But, all in all they manage and move on no matter how hard and frustrating it is. If only all parents considered that before thinking of having many children, if only young girls didn't engage themselves in sexual activities to end up being pregnant at a young age, if only people were more considerate then we wouldn't be having street kids problems. 

The most amazing thing is that among those street kids some come from well-off families but those parents fail to take good care of their children that these children end up getting depressed that sometimes prefer to be on the streets other than in a place where their own parents don't recognize them or care about their emotions. Parents sometimes forget that money isn't everything. You can't raise a child with money only, your attention and affection is more important than ravishing and spoiling your child with expensive things all the time. Sometimes they get tired of all that and rather feel rejected which might lead them to run away from their homes not because they were poor but because they feel rejected. As for the poor families it's not all of them that have street kids, some hold on to their parents mostly due to the love they have for each other as a family and they are always hoping for a better tomorrow. 

Some parents are so considerate that even when there is no food in the house they find ways to console their children and make them wait for a better tomorrow with patience. So if you ask me, being on the streets doesn't completely mean you come from a poor family. It's mostly a result of rejection, being orphaned, or sometimes drugs and alcohol is involved. But all this should not give us a reason to look down on them, though it doesn't mean we all have something to do for them or help them in anyway. Prayers work and they help a lot. And if you know someone that can help them, better reach them and plead with them cause those children are suffering a lot out there mostly at night in fact the whole day. 

You can imagine rooming around the streets all day with no food and unlucky, night falls and you still don't have food to eat sometimes it rains. It's so sad. But all in all, as the youth we can do something to prevent this by abstaining from sex to avoid unwanted pregnancies cause this is how it starts when you have children that you aren't able to raise or satisfy both emotionally and financially. And, find ways to advise those that are getting married that before thinking of having a child you should be more prepared for that so that your child won't run away and, for the orphans who don't have where to go, the government should find homes for them and educate them no child is born to suffer. 

Let's all put together and help them in all means we can. Our pity towards them without actions won't send them food or a roof over their head or a bed to sleep on. Let's reach out for them it doesn't matter if you know them or don't. Everyone deserves to live a better life and moreover courtesy costs nothing so be good and caring, good things will eventually come your way.
